Bob McGaughey Lumber Sales is a wholesale distributor located in Milan, Tennessee. Bob McGaughey, started the company in 1969, as a small office wholesale company. In 1974 the company moved into distribution of lumber, panels, and roofing products. Our customer base is made up of retail dealers, industrial accounts, and other wholesalers. We inventory a wide range of wood products and roofing, including a variety of panel products.The sales force is comprised of inside sales people and salesmen who are on the road making regular sales calls. We sell not only out of our warehouse, but also direct ship trucks and carloads. Company owned equipment is used to deliver about 80% of the product we sell.
Products sold include, commodity lumber, treated lumber, plywood, OSB, and residential roofing products. SPF lumber and OSB are our two major product lines. All of the SPF lumber is brought into Milan, Tennessee by rail and distributed out by truck. Panel products are brought in by truck to our warehouse or shipped direct to our customer by truck. We have the ability to service the small dealer who buys less than truckload and also sell the larger dealers who buy multiple trucks.
Areas serviced out of our warehouse are Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, Mississippi, Alabama, and Arkansas. We have the ability to drop ship truckload quantities to dealers located anywhere. We can also facilitate jobsite delivery for dealers, in order to give you a competitive advantage.
The delivery of products is managed by our trucking company, TLH, LLC. which operates out of our offices in Milan, Tennessee. We are able to coordinate delivery of products according to a customers needs. We have the authority to haul for hire if customers have loads they need to have hauled or picked up at particular locations.
